Churchyard

Our Churchyard of St Mary and St John church is a haven for wildlife, and had a special role in the life of what is now a culturally diverse, vibrant urban community.

It is:

  • A home for wildlife of all types, squirrels, butterflies, bees, many types of flowers.
  • The resting place of many social groups in our community – children, workhouse residents, servicemen from the two world wars, members of religious orders.
  • A place for peaceful reflection – use our meditative labyrinth, or have a few quiet moments in our memorial garden

You are very welcome to come and enjoy this beautiful space in the heart of the Cowley Road.
