Funerals

The death of a loved one is always a difficult time, and we want to give you the best support we can, we are here for everyone in the community when a loved one dies.

Church of England funerals are available to everyone. The funeral service allows family and friends to express their grief, give thanks and celebrate a loved one’s life and commend the soul of the departed into God’s eternal keeping. Funeral services may be very short and quiet with just a few family members present, or occasions of greater solemnity with music, hymns, favourite readings and eulogies in a full church. They can be held in one of our churches or at a crematorium. It is also possible to hold a memorial service, or thanksgiving service sometime after a funeral. We are here to support you before, during and after the service.

If you would like to speak to us about a funeral, or for support when someone has died please get in touch with our Vicar, Fr Phil.
