Everyone makes a personal and unique journey during these ‘40 days and 40 nights’. We start with our call to pray, fast and give alms.

- Ash Wednesday Eucharists Service, 5th March (St Mary & St John’s Church) – Marking the beginning of Lent with imposition of ashes. 12 noon (Said) and 7:00pm (Sung Eucharist)
- Compline or Taizé Prayer (St Mary & St John’s Church) – A reflective evening service with simple chants and silence Sunday 16th March, 5:15pm.
- Bartlemas Evensong – 6th April, 5:15pm

- Contemplation on Sunday 23rd March at 12noon at St Mary & John’s Church- Be Still & Know that I Am God…an opportunity to practice, time for discussion, and a brief sharing of the resources available in Oxford.
4. Community & Outreach
- Lenten Charity Appeal – Donate food for a local cause (Oxford Mutual Aid).
- Eco-Lent Challenge – Encouraging sustainable living practices as a spiritual discipline.
- Community Lunch – Wednesday 26th March, shared meal together at St Mary & St John’s Church.
- Creative Writing – Monday 7th and 14th April, 2 – 4pm at St Alban’s themed on the Easter story.
5. Children & Families
- Craft Workshop – Making Easter crafts, crosses, or prayer beads.
- Lent Course (Children) – Diocese of Oxford weekly study series Come & See by Bishop Steven Croft on Tuesdays.
